Qusetion #2, I would suggest you check if you Open Office with Rosetta. To get comma as separator, I would suggest you change region in Mac icon at top menu>System preferences>Region & Language>Select US as preferred region, restart Mac and check the result.
#Microsoft on mac mac os
Question #1: the separator in formula is related to your region setting in Mac OS system preferences. I go through the post carefully, here are answers for your questions, Hope these can help: That's all hiccups so far! please help a Office Mac newbie here :) Would be any workaround on this? Making Excel a default app to open CSV file, perhaps? or any other way? However, after I tried to Pivot it, the data seems to be a bit wonky some fractions appear when they really aren't there in the raw excel, and some number even shown as blank in the pivot. because i need to further analyze the data, then I copied the entire table to a blank excel worksheet. I opened a CSV file from outlook email (my work email) and the the mac just use Numbers to open it. Is this a bug or maybe I should flip a switch somewhere?ģ. And it happens for the entire office suite: Excel, Power Point, Word and whatnot. To my understanding, Microsoft has added native M1 Support for Office 365, but Activity Monitor detected that it is an "Intel" app instead of an "Apple" app, which indicate that it is not M1 Native. is there anyway to change this back to comma? This is quite minor but it does effecting my workflow a bit.Ģ. For some reason, my Excel formula separator in Mac is a semicolon instead of usual comma I'm used to. Thus, I decided to install Office 365 in my M1 Macbook to keep working.Ī few hiccups I experienced, really appreciate if anyone can offer solution:ġ. Long story short, my corporate work laptop (a windows one) has a battery issues and need to be repaired.
